Why Did We Create This Membership?
We created this membership because, like so many African Immigrants, we struggled to understand and settle into the system for over 2 years.
For months, we suffered from anxiety around paying monthly bills and the lack of credit history. Not only that, but we lost a lot of opportunities from lack of knowledge and then decided that enough of the “darkness”.
The last straw that broke the camel's back for me was when we wanted to move from an apartment into a house. We couldn't get into any of the houses we wanted because we didn't have the required paperwork.
It was really heartbreaking for me, as I felt so limited and angry. If only I had gotten the information three months earlier, I wouldn't have been forced to move into a house I didn't want, in an environment I disliked, and having to pay 2 months deposit!
It was after this time I decided it was time to roll up my sleeves and intentionally seek the right knowledge to understand the system.
First, I became a licensed realtor and then a certified financial education instructor, while also intently studying the tax system. With the knowledge I began to garner, and as a born coach, I decided to build this community, so our people can finally gain access to practical knowledge from different experts across different financial and economic niches.
